ATRAPALO COLLABORATE WITH OUR TRUST (11/02/2008)

The internet travel agency Atrapalo has collaborated with our trust, paying all the travel expenses to India last september of one of our trust members. We want to thanks to Atrapalo it's confidence and support to the work that from the association we carry out in favor of the rights of the children from south India.

 

SECOND ARIVAGAM STARTED (December 19th, 2007)

Works for the second Arivagam –for the equally named project- have started this month of December. This Aviragam is being built in COPE TRUST own ground just in front of Nesa Karangal, in the Ammappettai village. The building will consist of two stories; the ground floor will be a studio and events hall for activities that require a big roofed space and the first floor will have two classrooms: one for computers and another one for tailoring and other workshops. The construction of this Arivagam will give a new boost to the village, and especially, to the children and women that will enjoy the facilities.

The construction of this Arivagam is possible thanks to the collaboration of all of you who have felt this COPE TRUST educational project as own. Thanks to everybody!

FIRST ARIVAGAM INAUGURATION BY COPE TRUST AUSTRIA

Our Cope Trust Austria friends visited India last April to inaugurate the first Arivagam of the education project that has the same name.

In a first step is our aim to build four centers as this one, one of them in Ammappettai with the help of our organ isa tion.

Remember that those centers Arivagam are places to the social invigoration of the villages, where schoolars can go to reinforce their studies and also for the woman's training Self employment.

WE HAVE A CAR!

After a long time waiting, Nesa Karangal has finally a new four wheeler car. The organisation has choiced a 7 seat car instead of 10 seat car due to indian transport regulations, money and burocracy. A 10 seat car must have a traffic permision to get out from the district, and this could make dificultéis to COPE TRUST to do it's work properly. The four wheeler will serve to pick up all the neccessary stuff for Nesa, to transport ill people and all kinds of emergencias, transport for the members of the organisation, etc…

We would like to thanks once more the confidence that Fundació Maria Francisca de Roviralta has put in us and in the project which COPE Trust is developing in South India.

I BENEFICIAL CONCERT: CONTEMPORARY CLASICALS
HELP FOR THE SOUTH INDIAN CHILDREN

The concert was a success of assistance and interpretation. We enjoy listening the all times clasics.

We would like to sincerely thanks all the players for his interpretation and also to Anna Boté and their sisters fot the organisation and diffusion.

The concert give us an amount of 2400 € that will go for the construction and starting of one Arivagam (educational and formative center) in Ammappettai village.

RENOVATIONS HAVE STARTED IN NESA KARANGAL

As Father Jesus has recently informed us, works to enlarge the kitchen and the girls bathroom have already started. These are very necessary renovations since the girls have neither space nor privacy in the bathroom and, on the other hand; there are leaks in the kitchen ceiling due to the intense rains.

Last Saturday 1st October we organised the Party for India.

MEMBERS, VOLUNTEERS AND FRIENDS OF CTF MEETING

On the 26th of November 2004 we had our first meeting of members, volunteers and friends of the association. This was the official presentation to the public of CTF and the projects being developed in India.

After a first approach to the CTF and COPE TRUST, the volunteers who visited India this summer related their experiences.

Finally we presented the fostering project, which we hope will be warmly welcomed, as it has been so far.

The evening ended with the tasting of some classic Indian Chai tea (drink made of tee, spices, sugar and milk).
